Anita

Anita is a beautiful dancer who has a strong personality. She is a member of the Kalbeliya Tribe, an indigenous tribe native to India who are snake charmers and dancers. They are some of the last to carry on this art.

Anita is bold, flirtatious, and fearlessly herself. She is a very feminine woman and embraces that. Her design is full of “S” curves like the snake she carries, to suggest to the viewer that she has a very fluid gracefulness. Her bright colors, a well known trait of the Kalbeliya tribe, calls for people to notice her.

Costume

  1. Party Look: The Kalbeliya tribe is known for wearing bright colors with multiple patterns. Anita takes her traditional garb and mixes it with modern sunglasses to make her own statement when she sneaks out to go party.

  2. Everyday Look: Traditionally, Anita wears her colorful dress with bright bengals and jewelry. Her red/orange dress is reminiscent of a poppy flower, which is beautiful yet poisonous.

  3. Performance Look: Anita’s performance costume symbolizes both the sun and sky. She is bright like a sunflower when she dances. Decked out in gold and jewelry, her appearance demands attention.

Expression Sheet

Anita is not afraid to show how she feels in any given situation. She is a character who wears her heart on her sleeve and does not apologize for it. She feels very deeply and would feel repressed if she ever had to hide her real feelings. When she’s angry, she’s like a raging tiger. When she’s happy, she’s like the sun. When she cries, her tears could fill an ocean. Anita is someone who is definitely guided by her emotions.
